Measurement Yields of Sugars and Sweeteners

Bookmark For the Love of Baking.com

Picture of a canister of spilled sugar This handy table will give you the measurement yields of sugars and sweeteners. Measurement yields are really important to me when I am in my marathon of baking phases. I need to be as efficient as possible when I am trying to get a lot of baking done in a short period of time. The only way to do this is to plan effectively. I want to be able to make a mega shopping list of all ingredients that I will need and make just one trip to the grocery store. To make a good list you need to know how many units of something you will need in order to get the correct measurement for your recipes. For example I need to know how large of a bottle of corn syrup I need to buy in order to get 1 cup.

Ingredient Unit= Yield
Corn Syrup16 ounces=2 cups
Honey1 pound=1-1/3 cups
Sugar, Brown1 pound=2-1/4 cups
Sugar, Confectioners, (aka Powdered)1 pound=4 cups
Sugar, Granulated1 pound=2-1/2 cups

To Print out only the Measurement Yields of sugars and sweeteners Table; highlight it with your mouse, right click on the highlighted table. Choose the option PRINT. Change the Print Range from ALL to SELECTION. Press the PRINT button on the screen.
