Baking is a precise business. It is important that you understand these common baking abbreviations in order for you to get the best results from your baking efforts. There is a big difference between a Tablespoon (T or Tbs.) of ground cloves and a teaspoon (t or tsp.). I often feel that the world would be a better place if all recipe authors would just standardize the way they write a recipe; I myself find it difficult to keep my writing standardized. Without that, we are forced to learn these common abbreviations that we might encounter.
