Measurement Yields of Fruit

Bookmark For the Love of Baking.com

Picture of a basket of apples This handy table will give you the measurement yields of fruit. Measurement yields are really important to me when I am in my marathon of baking phases. I need to be as efficient as possible when I am trying to get a lot of baking done in a short period of time. The only way to do this is to plan effectively. I want to be able to make a mega shopping list of all ingredients that I will need and make just one trip to the grocery store. To make a good list you need to know how many units of something you will need in order to get the correct measurement for your recipes. For example I need to know that I will need to buy 3 medium apples (or 1 pound) in order to get the 2-3/4 cups of sliced apples that I will need for that perfect apple tart.
