Quick Cinnamon Roll Recipe

Bookmark For the Love of Baking.com

Picture of many cinnamon rolls. You can’t get much simpler than this quick cinnamon roll recipe. It relies on that neat little exploding can of crescent rolls. Your kids will love these sweet little spirals for breakfast, an after school treat or a simple little dessert. If you would like to assemble these ahead of time, you can. Just prepare the pan of rolls, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to bake.

1 – 8 oz. can of refrigerated crescent rolls

2 Tbs. white granulated sugar

2 tsp. ground cinnamon

2/3 cup powdered sugar

2 tsp. milk

2 drops pure vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375º F. Grease a 9 inch round cake pan.

Combine white granulated sugar and cinnamon; set aside. Unroll the crescent rolls and break apart into 4 rectangles. Pinch the seams of the diagonal perforations with your fingers. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly over the 4 rectangles.

Roll each rectangle up like a jelly roll. Cut each jelly roll log into 5 slices and arrange them, cut side up in the prepared pan. Bake for 15 – 18 minutes or until rolls are golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk and pure vanilla extract together. Stir with a silicone spatula until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls. These are best served warm.
